Review: Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil – by Negin Mirsalehi

Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil
I think it is safe to say that I’ve found a new addiction! I’ve been using Negin Mirsalehi’s Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil for about 5 months now. I’ve restrained myself from writing my review about it until I gave it enough time to really try it out. I surely wasn’t disappointed. It was the answer to all my hair woes and beyond.

Being a beauty enthusiast meant that I had my own hair oil recipes that I would lovingly mix up to target all my hair concerns. Despite that, my hair went crazy upon my move to London. I was suffering from insanely dry hair and lots of hair fall due to the change in environment. Thus I decided to give Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil a try. Not only does it come in an exquisite package which you can proudly display on your dresser; it is made with natural oils and ingredients and I’m positive that just like myself you all have a weakness for natures’ bounty.

Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil

This product is incredibly versatile and it can be used in a myriad of ways. I have devised my own routine for using this oil as follows:

  1. Bedtime: I dispense 2 drops in the palms of my hands, rub my hands together and then apply it to my hair; scalp to roots going downwards.
  2. Hair Mask: I also use it as a hair mask following the same method as above but using more of the product. Don’t worry if your hair feels greasy, you will notice how amazing it will feel after you shower it off in the morning.
  3. Wet Hair: When my hair is wet after my shower, I dispense one drop to the palms of my hands and I distribute it evenly to the hair ends only.
  4. Before Styling: I also use the oil on dry hair before using a straightening or a curling iron. I dispense less than a drop to the palms of my hands and apply it to the tips of my hair. You can also apply a bit to the roots going down to the ends if you feel that you hair needs the extra hydration.

I noticed a big difference in my hair after I started using Gisou Hair Oil. It definitely feels a lot more hydrated; it has grown longer, it looks shinier, and the general health of my hair has improved. I can finally rest assured that my hair is being protected from all the environmental elements here in London.

The oil is super dense that a single drop of the oil can work your entire hair. This means the product can last you for a whole year which in turn means that the price is quite reasonable when you consider the amount of time the product will serve you.

I love love love this oil; it has become an integral part of my beauty routine. I even ordered the Propolis Infused Texturing Wave Spray…. it’s on its way!!

Thumbs up Negin

Baby Johnson Cleans your Makeup Brushes

IMG_5365Cleaning your makeup brushes on a regular basis is an absolute must for many reasons.  After multiple uses, bristles begin to build up with residual makeup, which makes them less effective when it comes to application and they become a home for bacteria that will irritate your skin and cause breakouts.

Professional makeup artists usually clean their brushes after every use, but for us at-home users, every week is a good time, but again it depends on often you use them.

  • Step 1 You’ll need Baby Johnson and a fresh towel to lay the brushes on to dry. .
  • Step 2 Add Baby Johnson on to a surface , run your brush’s tip under lukewarm water and gently swirl the brush tip of a surface (a bowl). Tip: Never turn brushes up vertically — make sure they’re always facing downward — otherwise, water will weaken the glue that holds the bristles together.
  • Step 3 Once all the residue is completely gone, set your brush flat on the towel to dry.

Instead of using a bowl or the surface of my sink I’ve been using the Cleaning Mat by Sigma Beauty. I love it because it has 7 different textures to remove everything off your makeup brush without damaging the brush.

A Crazy Trick to Get Rid of Under Eye Circles, is it TRUE???

When we saw blogger Deepica Mutyala concealing her eye bags with Red Lipstick, we definitely questioned if it ACTUALLY WORKS. Well ladies, it  ACTUALLY DOES.!!!

  •  Know your Skin Tone: Identify your skin tone by looking at the veins on your wrists. If they’re shades of blue and purple you have a cool undertone, if they are mostly green you have a warm undertone. Orangy-red lipstick can work to colour correct yellow-toned darker skin tones. You really have to play with the shades of the red lipstick for it to match your skin perfectly.
  • Apply the orange-red lipstick to conceal the dark circles under the eyes.  Once applied, simply continue with your own regular makeup routine right on top of the lipstick. (Conceal).

Tip: It can be used to conceal dark spots and discoloration anywhere on your face and works better than regular concealer.

Exaggerate the Angle

8181b6870178da966c5adce1e1668b3fWhen it comes to exaggerating the upper lip line and the angles, you’ll need to focus on one key element:- Lining just outside the lip. If you follow your own lip line you’ll get a natural result. But if you take the line from your cupid’s bow to the outer corner instead, it will be slightly more than natural, creating a fuller effect.

TIP: Stretch your smile to tighten the skin so your lines are smooth and visible. You can even fill in the entire upper lip as well.
