Product Review: Hourglass Veil Retouching Fluid!

If you are looking for an oil-free product that doubles as a concealer and highlighter then look no further!  HOURGLASS Veil Retouching Fluid is the answer. A weightless formula that includes essential ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, plant extracts and grapefruit extract; Hourglass Veil Retouching Fluid is not defined as a concealer since it does not give you the long-lasting heavy coverage of usual concealers; I however do consider it as a concealer. I personally use it as a concealer as well as a highlighter. You may be wondering why? Simply because it is a lightweight, oil-free formula that covers up imperfections and lights up the face. The beauty of this product is that it can either be applied directly on your skin or on top of your makeup. And guess what? This will not ruin your makeup; in fact, as the name implies, it is made to veil, so you can use it at the beginning of your makeup routine or at the end of it and it won’t make much difference. The best part is? You can use it to clean up your under eye area after applying eye shadow or you can even use it to fix your eyeliner.

 

 

HOURGLASS Veil Retouching Fluid is available in six shades; it is made to work with all skin colors and tones. When you are testing out the product make sure to wait a few seconds for the product to ‘sit’ and for the shade to adjust to your own skin tone. At first it may seem that the shade picked for you by the person at the counter will not match your colouring, but somehow it just magically fits your skin color. I personally use the shade (Natural), it is a shade that is half a degree lighter than my skin color. In addition to using it as a concealer and a highlighter; I also love to use it around my eyebrows to give them definition.

My favorite thing about this product is that it does not CAKE nor FLAKE. You can apply it on top of your makeup and even on top of your setting powder and it will still look and feel seamless;  it is THAT easy. When you are on the go you can just re-apply it to revive your makeup, or just apply it on it’s own for a no-makeup look that brightens your whole face. It has such a perfect light finish and instant radiance. I swear this product is multifunctional. It is simply DIVINE.
